This release pays homage to Cath's Salvadorean heritage with its label and fruit-driven, food-friendliness. Produced in steel, this wine harkens back to a different style of Chardonnay, one where the leaner, non-buttery, unoaked wine is the focus and is accented by a little bit of Sauvignon Blanc's vibrancy. As with all JJ wines, we made it for food, and we priced it for every meal. We gave it higher acidity so you can easily pair it with a wide range of foods, and we priced it low so you can have glorious times over and over again: Embrace the Sun!

More info about shipping: Currently, we are working on distribution in IL and NY, and VA is on our list of states for this year. Click here to see where else you can find our wine. We pass along the shipping costs from our fulfillment vendor, and it's all weight-based, which is why as the number of bottles goes up, we are able to discount the shipping--it literally costs the same to ship one or three bottles, and wine cannot be drop-shipped as with other kinds of goods, unfortunately. We suggest working with friends to pool for a larger shipment, which will bring the cost below what you'd pay in the store without gas or sales tax. Until we have grown out our distribution network, I'm afraid that's the best our little-winery-that-could is able to offer at the moment.
***Summer shipping: we do our best to get shipments to you in a timely manner, but the weather ultimately makes the decision. We feel a few extra days to make sure not only the major transport but also the brown truck ride will be cool enough is a reasonable tradeoff for the subsidized shipping discussed above. Yes, some wineries are machines, able to generate your order within hours, but we aren't one of those producers, and we think that's a good thing. If you are willing to pay $15 per shipment for cold inserts, the cost to us from the fulfillment folks, please indicate so in the comments and we will take it from there***

I've never really drank un-oaked Chardonnay but this offering brings out what's good in the fruit without the sweet butter of oak. To me that makes it way more perfect for to pair with food because of the crisp clean highlights of the fruit and the well balanced acid. This will enhance more foods and not fight them as some oaky wines. I like it and have already shared several bottles.
